Our historyBioSymposia continues a strong tradition of commitment to continuing medical education and professional development that spans over a quarter century. This tradition began in 1977 when its predecessor, Serono Symposia International, Inc., was first organized as Serono Symposia International. Since that time, more than 500 major scientific and clinical conferences have been held, reaching over 75,000 healthcare professionals including physicians, scientists, pharmacists and nurses. All scientific and educational programs currently conducted are accredited by one or more of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation (ANCC), and Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE).
BioSymposia has recently responded to emerging trends in continuing education and professional development by expanding its accredited educational programs to include on-line programs. BioSymposia has also sought to enhance the experience of participants at its educational conferences by adding certain non-accredited activities, such as exhibitions and/or additional events sponsored by third parties. |
